hey guys I've been a fan of puffer fish for a while now!! I finally got my porc puffer today. after much reading and preparation I was finally ready. I have a question though. he wont eat the krill I gave him..... :( should I just take the krill out? also does the live rock help with nitrates/nitrites?

It could take a few days before a new fish is willing to eat. It is best to remove any uneaten food. It should be noted that krill is best avoided or just fed as a rare treat as it can cause jaw lock.

Live rock can and should reduce nitrogenous waste to nitrogen gas. So, yes, it should help control nitrogenous waste.
