My new adult GSPs!

We brought them home from the LFS on Monday and they are a spectacular couple! We could not be happier with our newest additions. They are both 5-6� in length and are housed in a 55gallon with aragonite substrate. They’re currently in Brackish at 1.012 (same as the LFS) and will be SW very shortly.
We’ve got three decent LFSs in the Charleston, SC area but these guys have won my loyalty for puffers. Two and half weeks ago the GSPs were in quarantine and were going to be out of it on the weekend of the 11th. So at the time (first week in March) we asked if they could hold them for us until after we moved. They said yes and said we didn’t need to put any money down. When we stopped by on Saturday to look at the GSPs again they said that they had a ton of people asking about one or both. Even with no money down they kept them as they said they would. They could have sold them to anyone but they held their word and even sold them to us at a lower price because the original price quoted to us by one of the attendants was less than what they really wanted. Very cool.
We’ve named them Bonnie and Clyde. Because they are viscous, ruthless, killers. At the LFS they were fed Fiddlers or crayfish. The LFS said that the crabs and crays never once touched the bottom of the tank. At home we fed them a piece of large shrimp and both of them grabbed the shrimp in the blink of an eye and ripped that shrimp to shreds. Within 5 or 10 seconds the only sign of the shrimp were small pieces of shell floating around the tank. Amazing. They make our Fahaka look very tame.
Since we brought B&C home they’ve been very active and swimming around the tank to greet anyone who walks up. A protein skimmer is still in the works but I’m going to get one this week or the next.
We’re thrilled to give these guys a good home. I’ll try to get some pictures but we decided to cancel the internet at home so I’ll have to find a place on the internet to post them. I’ve got an account at Snapfish but I don’t know if I can link to there.
