The Puffer Forum

I'm new to this forum, and I converted my GSP (Tetraodon Nigroviridis) to full saltwater at a young age.

But what I was mainly wondering was, if I where to add a Porcupine Puffer (Diodon holocanthus) would they get along?
Right now my GSP shares a 20 gallon (Upgrading within a month) with a Figure 8 Puffer (Tetraodon biocellatus) and there seems to be no problems, they get the same amount of food and like to lay on the gravel with each other under the fake plants I have buried, or in the plastic tube that's made for knife fish mounted behind the rocks.
Right now both of the puffers are around 1 1/2 inches and are little pigs!
Any feedback will be appreciated!

I wouldn't chance it for the long term health of both fish.

Porcpuffs require a minimum of 100g as adults.

Ok, Is there any other puffers that would stay in the same size range and require the same sized tank?

Another GSP or Ceylon puffer. Add another 30g for each GSP or 40g for a Ceylon.

Wow! Didn't even know about that puffer! I'll be trying to get one of those little guys! Sadly if I can't I'd end up with the poor little Saddle-Back Valentini Puffer that's at my LFS...

Check the Pufferpedia for this puffer. Kinda rare find. Look closely at the F8 tanks, sometimes they get mixed in.

Ok lol I might have seen them at my dreaded PetSuper Market one time but I'll order them in if possibal from my Nahacky's Aquarium!

I'm glad I joined not only will I be getting new fish soon because it's my birthday, but I don't have to hear lies from the pet stores and LFS's!!!

Be sure you already have the finances set aside for a much bigger tank.
