Hi. I have 4 f'8 puffs, i have had them about a year to date. Recently some white fuzzy fungus showed up on them and on some you could see ringworm. So i did the 7 day treatment of pimafix and it seems to be better but you can still see ringworm on some of them and one of them seems to have very red gills on one side. I need some help getting rid of this.
Also just noticed one has a spot on their eye to

Also its 75g
Water paramaters are. 0.0.10
Sg= 1.008
Temp is 80°

The spot on the eye might be what I call an ulcer. It is clearish/whitish..almost like a cateract. Melafix will fix that. I have a puffer that was almost blind when I found him and melafix cleared it up in days. The comon cause seems to be bad water conditions, but the same puffer I just spoke about still gets those eye problems about once a year and I think it might be related to stress because it seems to only happen when I switch out or rearange decor (which also brings up the possibility that my puff is simply scratching his eye on decor).

And what do you mean by ringworm? Is it a raised ring shaped formation under the skin or is it a ring shaped grey /black mark on the skin. If it is a grey /black mark on the skin it is most likely puffer bite bruises (which I hope is the case because worms under the skin are very hard to deal with).

Perhaps gill flukes. Red gill on one side and your other issues ..flukes could he your problem (hard to know for sure)

Do some google searches on gill flukes, look at pics and come back here for treatment advice.

Get some pics of your puffers if possible so people here can help you better.

Well I can't get a good pic of it, but it does appear to be under skin. The good news is the white cottony stuff is going away

The bad news is, your puffer/s have incurable, contagious nematodes.

Oh, I was hoping the worm you spoke of was outside the body. Yeah nematodes are bad news.

Here is some info http://en.wikivet.net/Fish_Nematodes

The nematodes move around, under the skin. I wish you had a pic.
