Can someone tell me the best method to get my GSP out of tank he's in at salninity of 1.012 and move him to his new tank that is at 1.020. I hear they shouldn't be taken out of the water. Need advise from someone who has done this.

You can either drip acclimate him in a bucket or raise the sg of his current tank by 0.002 per week until they match. Use a scoop to move him

How long should I keep him in a bucket, drip acclimating him? A half hour, hour?

Give it a couple of hours or so, slow drip and keep an eye on the salinity
