Lurker turned Puffer addict.

So I have been lurking around as I have been wanting a dog face or a porcupine puffer for a while but have been keeping reef tanks. I fell into a 125 cheap and have a bigger tank lined up that will take more time to put together. (other equipment).
I have been searching around and had found a couple of puffers that I was interested in but every time I decided to go back and get it it would be gone.(hard time deciding on porc or dog). So today a good friend of mine was at a lfs and called me about a porker that he said looked different and thought I would like. He sent me a pic and I had to have him so he picked him up for me. After asking about the condition of the fish of course and having them feed him so he could see him eat.
When I got him home acclimated and in the tank it appears he has ich. Now my friend is a very responsible fish keeper and said on the phone there was no visible ich on the fish.
The fish is eating as is in quarantine I am hesitant to treat with cooper and will be lowering salinity to hypo for the next 6-8 weeks but overall happy with my new horned puffer. I will post a picks tomorrow I acclimated him feed him and put him to bed.
This forum is off the hook by the way.
