Bored Puffer

Hi all,,
I've had my F8 puffer for about 2 months now and he's doing great. I have him in a 15 gallon brackish tank (1.004) all by himself. He seems to do well but sometimes I feel that another F8 should be with him. Anybody keep only 1 puffer. Is it possible to have 2 in a 15 gallon?

You cannot keep 2 in a 15. Singletons generally have longer lives

Puffers are not social creatures like we are, they do better alone.

Good to know. Thanks all. 1 it is. Maybe I'll switch up the scenery often for him.

Puffers are intelligent fish that need a TON of decor to explore. Post a FTS so we can help you with that.

Here is a pic of my tank when I first set it up before I added my F8. Since then I haven't changed much. Just added a skull with holes in the eyes and back of the skull. He goes in there often. Especially at night when he's sleeping. Also added a blue background. Driftwood is real. Still not sinking after 3 months submerged (hence the rocks).
