Hello, I am new here

Since recently I have two GSP babies. It is a 60 Liter Tank *I think 15 gallons* right now. I am going to get a bigger one in a few months.

But my question is if I have decorated my brackish water tank correctly?

Should I change something in it or is it fine like that?

Hi and welcome to the forum. Decor is along the right lines, maybe some more tallish stuff. I would advise bringing your upgrade forward as puffers grow super fast. You will need min 55g but ideally 75g +.

How fast do they actually grown? I have read that they can get very old like 12- 15 years.

Many puffers can live to their 20s if cared for correctly. The speed of growth varies, but largely depends on its tank size and care level. They are easily stunted which can dramatically shorten lifespans

If those decorations are real wood they will start to rot in BW. I had some mopani wood in my 1.004 BW tank for just a few months and it started to smell pretty bad. I use plastic mangrove now.

No, the wood won't. We call it Moorkienholz or Moorholz. I don't really know the English name *it is not a mangrove, but "swamp wood".
But it is for Brackish water and won't rot.

I feed them ramshorn snails and shrimp. I personally think that everything is fine, except the tank size (when they get bigger).
Is it fine to keep them in this tank until the end of this year? Then I would be able to get a bigger one.

I wouldn't go less than 10g each, even at 1" babies. 30g is better for 2 juveniles. Even a 55g for my adults wasn't big enough:

I thought about as they grow older to put them in a marine tank.
The Sera 130 is too small but the price is fine. I would also pay 500 Euros. And the Red Sea Max 250 is far to expensive for me. The cheapest Red Sea Max 250 was about 1300 Euros. So, does anyone of you know a 55 gallon marine water tank with a cover in the price range between 300=600 Euros ?

Are there any other tanks from Sera that are bigger because I haven't heard of any.

@Pufferpunk Your puffers look great Are these male and female? And does their pattern change over the year because mine do have less dots.
Is this a real clownfish in your tank? Can you keep them together *if it is real
And how big is the tank in the photo?

gsps seem to grow really slow in comparison to other puffers and especially against the giant puffers. I would add in a few tall plastic plants or use some floating plants to add some complexity to the top of the tank, gsps are active hunters and so they enjoy exploring their tanks more switching around decor more often will help but they are pretty prone to glass surfing.

@puffykid I don't like plastic stuff in an aquarium, so are there any plants which can survive brackish water except the Java Fern? Thanks!

gsps go through brackish and into marine water so there aren't any plants will survive that transition, I would just get a plastic mangrove root or a tall tree root like decor and maybe a small cave for retreating to.

I would definately upgrade before you put large items of decor in, fake plants would serve the purpose for now.

Those pieces are examples of what kind of decor you should get for when you upgrade their tank to their final home. Plastic plants can look pretty realistic now if you go with the silk plants.
