I am really confuse on how to do a proper cycle of a fish tank,every video i watch theres a different way to do it.some say start from freshwater and some say start straight some from the salinity that i want,so can someone tell me how to do it properly.step by step and what i need,im having a freshwater tank now and changing to brackish

Tanks cycle faster as f/w compared to brackish, that's why we say cycle as fresh then raise sg by 0.002 per week, plus most brackish water puffers are held at the store in f/w, so you can add the fish and then increase the salinity.
