Feeding puffer bloodworms?

I should have my figure 8 by this weekend. I'm still studying up and investigating all I can before I get him because I want to make sure I do everything right. I noticed a video on youtube where a kid feeds puffers a frozen cube of bloodworms and I"m guessing that is not the right way to do it. How do you guys feed your puffers bloodworms? Do you drop a few thawed in 1 at a time or just toss a bunch in for him to chase around?

The most efficient way to do it is to buy one of those feeder cones so that your f8 can just go and grab them himself without having to worry about uneaten worms.
As for preparation you were correct, the blood worms should be defrosted first in tank water. Get a little cup preferably Tupperware and scoop out a little bit of tank water in it throw in the cube of worms and remove ones that you aren't feeding to be put back in the freezer. Mix in vitamins and allow to sit for minimum 15 mins.
I usually just make sure I have his attention and drop them in front of him using a net, the ones the he doesn't eat go to the ghost shrimp.

Yes but I find that frozen/dead worms just sit in the cone. That's for live worms. Soak your frozen foods in Zoe or Vita-Chem vits.

Sorry about that I was mistaken Ash. One easy way to feed dead worms is after letting them soak in the tank water + vitamins dump them into a net over a sink and when hes looking drop them in.

OK, so the cone is only for live worms? It looks cool and it would be nice to put worms in there and just let him eat at his leisure. Could you use it for dead worms too??

The cones work well with live worms, because they are wiggling around and make their ways through the little holes. Dead worms don't move and you will probably end up with a bunch of dead worms sitting around not able to be eaten. But then again i have never tried dead ones in the cone, just live ones.
