Good afternoon, a few of you may know already I own quite a few pets, but I'll just go in to my fish. I have 4 marine tanks, one being a puffer (1valintini Toby called Rossi) only tank, I also keep a few fancy goldfish and various ponds with different species.
I have a 400 liter (106 US gal or 88 UK gal) tank sitting at mine doing zilch, I have all the equipment needed and can buy extra that's needed, I'm wanting to keep some true puffers, and I don't mind keeping just one or a small group depending on what you wonderful crew think will be happy in this size tank and what water to go for, I have experiance in both cold water and marine and will be reading/research on as much info I can find and I've been keeping aquatics for 15 years so do have some knowledge already.
So come on, all ideas welcome, the more the better as I want to hear some amazing ideas in what puffers to keep, the tank will only have puffers and will be started up with this specie in mind once the water is in perfect condition, I do understand the nitrogen cycle as I have been threw it many times before so no need to worry that I'll be rushing in and my tank will be cleaned to an inch of its life. I'm just not sure what to go for as there are so meant wonderful puffers out there, I would really love them all, but not possible NOT FAIR!!!
Thank ou and looking forward to hearing from you.

Where to start eh? There are several f/w puffers that will fit in there, a couple of b/w. You could set it as marine and put gsp or Ceylon in. Any idea what route you wish to follow?

Nope, that's why I've come to you lot, I want a puffer that's like a proper puppy fish just like my Rossi, I'd rather go for specie rather than water type so I want a real beautiful cute wonderful puffer.

My most puppy-like puffer is Filbert but your tank is a bit too small for one:

My next choice would be the GSPs:

I vote Ceylon. SUPER fun fish with a lot of personality. Can sometimes be tougher to find.

GSPS are very puppy like and you could have a few in a tank that size!

Thank you for your replys, my problem is that living in Lincolnshire in the UK some species are very hard to find, but my main problem really is which to choose from, from the ones you've said, oohhhhhhh HELP ME. I'm not shouting.
