What a PAIN!

So i've been searching now for 3 months for a 20Gal long to a 30Gal long tank to start up a nano reef (something the girl wants) and everyone seems to be selling nothing but Tall or Hex tanks which I despise! And with my luck the few that I have found with a stand have been priced beautifully but the people NEVER respond to my e-mails and I leave them my phone number of course, not even a "hey i sold it" and the item is still on craigslist weeks-month later.
Does anyone else ever deal with this fustration when looking for a tank on craigslist? I could go buy a New tank and stand but they go for around $200 plus. When the ones on Craigslist go for $100 or less. Please tell me i'm not alone in this fustration.

It took me 3 months of search on craigslist. to find now my 125gal.
My concerns were;
How old, how big of a damage this aquarium has and then $$

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I can NEVER find the tank I'm looking for.
Just stick to it. Try checking yard sells and newspaper, too.

It took me a couple months to find the 46 gallon bowfront I wanted for my goldfish. Hang in there -- the right tank always comes along eventually.

I believe the reason that alot of petshops are selling alot of tall tanks, because they are room savers. And alot of people that live in apartments are going to smaller cube tanks now days.
And I have found that large tanks are hard to come by now days, also.

Not here in Baltimore/DC area in reference to the large tanks. If you want to find a 75gal up to a 200Gal its NOT a problem, its finding the long tanks thats a pain in the butt. I'd even settle for a 29 Gal I saw that comes with a stand and aquaclear filter only $100 but no reply from guy and i messaged him asap. Drives me crazy!

Well trying to find a 200 gal. tank here is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. I only seen a 210 gal twice at on fishshop and that was it. I been in and out of fishshops well over 20 years now. It really hard to find anything over a 150 gal. But most the fishshops that carried anything those sizes have went out of business years ago. And extremely hard to find even used large tanks also.
