I am afraid to hear the answer but I have a feeling after browsing this site that I know the answer. I have a 29 gallon tank set up with brackish water and I have the following fish:
2 GSP about 1.5 inches each
1 Ceylon puffer about 1.5 inch
2 butterfly gobies or waspfish about 1 inch each
1 knight goby (or fan dancer) about 3 inches

How overstocked am I?? What size tank is required to keep these fish together? I have not had one sign of aggression from any of the fish as of yet and they have been together for about a month. Also, what does it mean if a puffer spends countless amounts of time going up and down the glass?

WAYYY overstocked. I would guess IF you could keep them together about 80G or so would do it.

Puffers repeatedly going up and down the glass usuall means they are bored. If you've not got a lot of tank decor i'd think about adding some more or if you've already got a lot in there i'd think about re-arranging it to give them something new to explore. That should do the trick.

Each of your puffers requires at LEAST 30 gallons. To house all of them, and the gobies, you need a tank 90 US gallons +.

Since Ceylons generally grow to 7-8" (GSPs 6"), they require 40g ea. That would require a 100g for all, as adults.

I did not know Ceylons grew larger.

The body mass difference betwen a 6" fish and an 8" of the same build is not trivial at all. The Ceylon is a significantly more massive fish.

Hence the importance of properly identifying this species before
getting it home from the LFS.
