Yes it is me again with yet another question, I can see RTR thinking to himself *ugh not gooburz again as he shakes his head*

However 1 thing i wanted to ask was looking for a tank on craigs list and things i've read and come across was re-sealing a tank. Has anyone had to deal with this, or actually have to do it, i've seen a few videos on youtube and it looks easy enough. Just wanted to know anyone's thoughts on the matter. I've seen a lot of good FULL tank set-ups on craigs list but just in case the seals on the tanks are not the greatest is this an easy/reliable thing to do?

It is plausible if it is not a large seal that you are repairing and as long as it is along the edges or where the corners meet. Otherwise I would not bother with it. When I was a kid I tried sealing a 10 gallon Metaframe tank that got cracked across the glass and I failed miserably.

I have resealed lots of tanks, from a 10g hex to a 125g. It's important to get off ALL the old sealant. Decades later, they are still holding water.

Thats what i like to hear PP! from what i've seen in the video's i've watched they did remove all the old sealer and after took a vac to get the left over silicone and then a rag with rubbing alcohol wipe it down then tape off the edges, apply, use finger and rub it in/wipe away excess then let it sit for about 72 hours. Does that sound about right to you PP? And thank you for the fast response!
