Hey so i just got some small snails for my F8 puffer and when i drop them in the tank he picks at it for a little then leaves it. He chips the snail shell a little but not much. He is 1 inch long and his favorite food is blood worms.. Why does he not like snails? Are his teeth not strong enough to break the shells yet?

If he's fed mainly bloodworms in the lfs, he might not recognize that as food. Crush the snail and dump it in. btw, what kind of snail are u using? For that size, use only ramhorn and pond snail.

These are the snails i feed him.. What kind are they?
So crush them up and throw them in?

These looked like MTS- Malaysian trumpet snails.. Avoid them. Their shells are too hard. May chip or break the little puffer teeth. I wouldn't recommend feeding them even after crushing, there will still be loose shell here and there.. Try to get others.

+1 to scpion's comments. Avoid MTS, they can break incisors. Even with small ramshorns or common pond snails you may need to crush the shells the first few feedings.
