Wet dry filter for Brackish?

I have an old wet dry filter in my garage from a Saltwater set up. I saw it this weekend and the wheels started turning. Would a wet dry filter work on a brackish set up? Or would it be best to stick with a canister, this is for a 75 gallon?

I don't see why it wouldn't work

When I had the large system set BW, I did use a W/D filter, but mineral buildup gave some hassle with rotating the spraybars. I switched that tower over to drip plates to cut out the high upkeep parts. I also added a drawer foe easy access o the prefilter.

Air-exposed moving parts may be an issues in SW or BW.

Thanks for the info. I am not sure if I will make the switch over or not because everything is working well and why mess with a good thing. But it is nice to know i have the option since it is just sitting there.
