something strange poking out of my live rock. Help identify?

just saw this yesterday. Have had this piece of live rock for 4-5 months now and this is the first strange creature/anything I've seen from it. It looks like a white jelly/fuzzy tube and seems to be getting bigger. I poked it with a feeding stick to see if it would do anything, it didn't, it seems pretty soft. a sponge? some kind of coral? should I be worried?

is that bad? i don't mind it being there, just curious because I haven't seen it until the last couple days

I can't tell what it is for sure but you're going to find tons of cool, wonderful creatures popping out of your LR. 99% of it is harmless.

pineapple sponge.

They are good but if the water quality isn't 100% then they reproduce like rabbits.
