I was wondering what ip med are available here. Does anyone know product names or ingredients I should or shouldn't be looking for? When I asked at my lfs, he showed me a treatment for swim bladder in goldfish  now none of my puffers have ip's that I know of, but it's nice to know in advance of an emergency :D

If you can't find them here you can ship them in from America, most Lfs can order pretty much anything

Well I had a look on eBay uk and found Kusuri wormer plus 5g, Discus internal parasite and fluke. Wormer plus is a flubendazole based med.
They say it's safe to use on all tropical fish, including stingrays, puffer fish and 1 wk old fish fry.
Would this be the right thing?

Apparently Tetra parasite guard is the same as jungle parasite clear. Transitioning the jungle fizz tabs over to tetra brand. Is that the one that's always recommended in the US?
This is the website I was looking at

For my SAPs I used Waterlife STERAZIN which treats 'Gill, body flukes and Internal Worms'.
Worked well for me, bought from LFS.
Soaked food in the meds, then poured the rest of the dose in.

I've just been to my lfs and they have given me a treatment for ip's, normally I'd trust what they say but as I was given aquarium salt for my soon to be brackish tank I thought I'd double check the ingredients with you guys.
It's called eSHa HEXAMITA-Discus disease treatment(also for other cichlids)
Composition/ml: Copper Sulphate 7.0mg, Ethacridine Lactate 6.7 mg, Acriflavine 2.0mg, Methylene Blue 6.3 ug in water
I have been told to add this to the water, not food but I could add garlic to their food which would pretty much kill the ip's

Don't use that meds its got copper sulfate in it. I believe its those copper based meds that are popular but don't do anything, if that tetra safe start stuff is similar to the jungle I'd go with that. How much would it cost to mail? I could mail you it if you paid me back shipping?

I used Kusuri Wormer Plus for discus, and it did not harm my fish (green spotted puffers) and it did not do anything to the water quality. I can't say for sure if it was effective against parasites, because I don't know if my fish had parasites or not, I used it preventatively when I first got the fish. I'd recommend it, especially if that is what is available to you!
