Starting my first Brackish Tank

Hey I am new to the forums here and looking for some advice on starting my first brackish tank. I have other tanks at this time but want to have a species tank for a figure eight puffer. I was looking to do just a 10 gallon to fit on top of my desk for the time being and then upgrading to a larger one after I move. I have heard that puffers typically do better in 20 gallon tanks but this is due to the high ammonia waste that they produce. I was thinking I could make it work with the proper amount of plants and filtration. Any input?

15g minimum for a f8

Welcome to the forum. Can't help you i never have brackish or marine tank.

A 15 is (as said before) the minimum. A 20-long is much better. More area more swimming room, easier to decorate. A small increase in water volume and cost, but much better set-ups are possible.
