Fin bite now red

75gallon 2 1.5" ceylons
Feeding 6 days a week once a day mussle, snails, bloodworms, mysis, never the same thing 2 days in a row.
10-15% Water change twice a week, seachum prime and stablity used for waterchanges
No change to the tank
tank has Been up and running 6 months now
2 days ago i noticed that one of my puffers had a bite on his tail fin and it now looks like it has a red stripe where the bite was. his tail still has the pice that was bitten flapping around when he swims so the chunk is still attached to his tail. today i added a dose of melafix and will continue to dose as recomended on bottle for 7 days. please let me know if there is anything else i can/should do and what u think the red might be.
