So, I bought some RCS off of LGP and I bought a few from my LFS just so I had the extra "umph" to the gene pool just in case....

AND I HAVE LIKE, 4 OR 5 THAT HAVE BERRIED!! YIPPEEE!

I originally thought it was only 2, but upon closer inspection, almost every female that I see is berried now (well, I know that they are female now LOL).

I am super excited. I can't wait to see all the leeetle bebes. Haha

It's definitely been interesting to have a tank of something other than fish for once. Never had a pure invertebrate tank, so it's been really fun watching them from day to day.

I do so love my invertebrate tank (well, inverts except for the oto cats). They have a very different feel from fish, don't they?

I have got to try this I think lol will save £££'s on ghost shrimp.

Cherry shrimp are SO much smaller, though, and you have to add new shrimp every six months or so. I doubt it would save you any money.

I spend about £4 a week on ghost shrimp. I can change things around so I have an empty tank. If I buy 2 cherry shrimp a week I am spending less. It's worth a thought

No pics yet, but I will definitely go and try to get some. When I get home. Oh and apparently, frogs bit is illegal in California, LoL, so I stuck some moss balls and java fern moss in there for them. Between the moss balls, java fern, and the fake plants, they seem to be doing really well.

If you're not experienced with shrimp and/or nanos, at least 10g. Shrimp need stability. Cherries are really really hardy and thrive in a wide range of conditions, but stability is still key. They will also be much happier and breed better in a planted tank.

so they dont live long? i never had success with any shrimp living more than a month except amanos

They don't live too terribly long, but they breed rapidly - healthy, well-fed colonies increase until they sense that they are at the tank's maximum capacity. Your colony won't simply die out. But because they do mature and breed so quickly, you have to add shrimp from a new source periodically to prevent excessive inbreeding.
