salt measurement

how much salt would you need to add in a 60 gallon tank to make it marine? s.g 1.022.

going to have to trial and error yourself. I use instant ocean and 1 cup in a 2 gallon bucket makes right around 1.024-1.025 for me.

Typically, a 1/2 cup a gallon. Labels are your friends.

It depends on the brand of salt, but usually it is 1/2 cup to every gallon of water. I am sure the label tells you the mixing directions. Also you need a refractometer or a hydrometer if you plan on mixing up any saltwater, then you will know for sure.

I use 33.3grams per liter. I've tried this with a few brands and it always comes out ok
