how many times a week should i feed my GSPs? they eat raw shrimp and sometimes blood worms

Depends on age/size.

And boy that article "Green Spotted Puppies" couldn't be more fitting I managed to get my GSPS' to eat from my hand again and now they are starting to greet me. I can hold a shrimp up to the glass and they go crazy! They are so smart and inquisitive! I grabbed a can of fish food tonight, (not even meant for them but for my goldfish) and they frantically came to the glass and were buzzing around and following me as I passed by thinking it was their feeding time!

Watch your fingers when hand feeding, you will get bitten it's just a matter of time.

Too late, they had nibbled on me a couple times and it didn't hurt. I am assuming their beaks have not grown in much.

You have been lucky so far. Even juveniles can take a chunk and will if they choose. You will loose a finger print. It's only a case of when

I've been feeding my guy a small frozen shrimp cut into thirds, a third at a time. He has been loving it so far and in being frozen, he has something to really bite into. I was worried with it being frozen that it would be hard on his tummy but they defrost very fast in his 80* water. So far he's been eating about half of that third every other day. His tank is right next to my futon so when he gets hungry, he comes to the glass closest to me and just kinda stares at me. He's just as bad as my dog. lol

You should always thaw out any food you are feeding to your puffer. Cold or frozen food can be hard on their system. Always good to feed a varity of foods. Here is a great link on idea's to get you started.

Remember that shrimp isn't a good staple for a puffer as it contains thiaminase. It's good to feed a variety and soak the food in a vit/min supplement prior to feeding.

I got some clams for an asian soup I wanted to make and remembered that these were the exact same ones that I could feed to my puffers!
I am spoiling my poor babies... lol But boy when I tossed that thing in (thawed of course) were they so happy to get such a special treat today!

It thaws very quickly, his water is 80*. He loses interest once it fully thaws though, he must like the crunch.

He probably eats then thinks ouch tbh. Their bodies are not designed for frozen food

Thawing frozen foods in the fish tank is one of the best techniques available for polluting tanks. Don't do it.
