What does worms look like?

I just saw some stringy poop from my 2.5" Fahaka today. It was clear with white bumps on them and it was free floating and not hanging from his body. Is this some kind of worm? I tried getting him to eat medicated food for a week, but he only ate it for 3 of those days (using Prazipro internal parasite med). Last treatment was 1 week ago. During feeding, I also notice that one side of his stomach is always slightly rounder than the other side. Appearance and behavior seems fine. He's definitely a good eater and has not missed a meal (except for when he doesn't want to eat the medicated food).

So is he sick? Should I treat more with Prazipro?

pH ~7.7
Ammonia/NitrIte 0
120g with no tankmates
I feed raw shrimp (with vitachem) as a staple, then worms and snails when I have them.
I took him out of his QT tub today and put him in his 120g along with a 90% water change. 100% cycled.

"String of Pearls" look to poop is one of the indicators for IP's. I'd start treating.

It defiantly sounds like IPs. I used PraziPro for six days straight and it did the trick, however, I had a rough time getting my puffer to eat it. I even soaked the food with garlic with no avail. Finally I went to the produce store, bought some raw mini shrimp (shells on) and soaked a little cut (didn't want to overfeed since it was for six days) for about 5 mins and he ate it right up. No signs of IPs since.

Ok I'll restart his Prazipro treatment.

After feeding with prazipro today, I noticed a white long string floating around the tank. I hope all of these white strings will go away by the end of the week. Do I have to remove these white strings now or can I wait until my next water change?

That's up to you. Probably dead worms.

I finished prazipro for 1 week. Today I saw less than half an inch of white stringy poop :( it was coming out of his body.
I also saw a lot of good brown solid waste on the floor of the tank.

What is the next step?

wait and see.

The sting of pearls is not a definitive answer. That could also mean mucus build up in the intestine. That will depend on what type of foods you feed it.

Observation is key and you do want to watch that poop ;)

Ok 5 days later he is still looking good, behaving normally, and eating a lot.

White stringy poop is still coming out of his body.

Hmm.. maybe I should stop feeding him those white raw shrimp. If I don't feed him white food, then he shouldn't poop out white stuff.

My mbu does the same sometimes asked my lfs for wormer which was quite expensive at around £24 for the packet but he told me that it is normal and that my mbu had been treated while it was there and talked himself out of a sale
