ok, so me and my girlfriend bought two puffer fish and 3 other fish. all are in a 10 gallon tank. the puffers are deff young. they are under an inch long. anyway, we have learned more about the fish and we have decided to get rid of the other 3 fish and only keep the puffers. we are also going to separate them. ill be putting mine in a 20 gallon tank and shell keep her puffer in a 10 gallon tank by herself for now..
my puffer is nice and bright yellow and looks very healthy. but her puffer has a dark belly and she doesn't have as much color. she is also very skinny but my puffer looks really fat.
is this because she is sick? or is she hungry? what should i do?

Can you post answers to any of the questions in red above? It would help a lot.

Is it at all possible to return the puffers too, until you can cycle a bigger tank? I'm afraid he's not going to make it in there.
