heres a picture of my dp set up.its a fluval edge and i plan on keeping 1 dp in there and maybe some shrimp.its been cycling for 3 weeks so nearly there.what do you think??

Tank looks lovely I've got an edge too and I love it!

I wouldn't put shrimp with a dp though, would probably end up being dinner! All I ever kept with my dps was ottocinclus. If the ottos go in first the dp tend to leave them alone.

ok i think i will just settle with the dp then.im not that keen on the ottos

I've got a crowntail fighter called Mokusam and a gold marble bristlenose called Brisies. Don't really recommend fighters for an edge usually because of the small surface area, but sam seems pretty smart, he knows where the gap for breathing is! Initially I didn't fill the edge to the top so he had plenty of space to breathe, but when I tried it to see what he'd do, he swam straight to the gap so I've kept it filled properly ever since and he's doing well.

thats nice.the puffer im getting is a pygmy pea dwarf puffer.i would have loved 2 but will just settle for 1.

Bristlenoses really shouldn't be kept in such small tanks. Did you name it after Achilles' slave?

Goldfish get far, far too large! The smallest tank you should put goldfish in would be about 40g, since each fancy goldfish needs at LEAST 20g, and they like to have other goldfish as companions, so you'd need at least two of them. About the original post, I think you could use more plants and a cave or two - really pack that stuff in there - but it's looking nice!

the top doesn't come off, that square cover on the top comes off to expose a 7" square hole with about an inch lip in the top with a light fixture and filter. everything that goes in the tank has to fit through that hole. This allows you to fill the edge all the way to the top.

it looks nice! you can always try a few ghost shrimp since theyre cheap(they just seem to die fast in my tanks). the dps ive had never bothered any shrimp and i think the amanos are smart enough to hide from dps lol. the amanos in my betta tank are just about always under the driftwood. i dont know if its because the betta bothers them or not.
