hey...my bro-in-law (who's been taking care of aquariums for about 8 years now) said I should hatch some brine shrimp for my f8's...what say you about this?

They do get bloodworm and snails from me. unfortunately the fish store doesn't have much variety apart from krill which I have stopped due to reading articles about lockjaw...and I haven't seen earthworms for sale there either. Also, the dumb grocery stores here are poorly supplied with any crustaceans or shellfish still in their shells IF they sell them at all. I need to find a group of licensed fishermen who can perhaps get me crabs/crays and mussels from the coast for a decent price.. but yea..brine shrimp an option? They're TINY!

They really aren't a good food and wouldn't be worth the effort at all.You're off the hook Snails are the best food for these guys.

BS hatchlings are VERY tiny. They are great food for baby fish fry & corals, as they have their egg sack attached when they hatch & for about 24 hours after that. Once it is absorbed, BS are basically non-nutritious, as they are mostly 98% water. Much better to purchase live blackworms or frozen. I soak all foods in liquid vitamins, too & feed my live worms, ground up old fish foods.

ok, thanks guys. I guess I'll just give these to my brother-in-law or maybe keep them in case I pick up a female molly and get my males mating with her. I didn't choose a female cos I thought the puffs would probably munch on them... :\
