So - now that he's settled in

and I've established that there's nothing wrong with his mouth, here is the new fahaka.

He likes to rest in the shadiest part of the tank with a couple of grains of sand on his head. I interpreted this as a sign that he wanted to be able to bury, and moved a good deal of sand there during the last water change. He dove right in. Very cute!
I had tentatively named him Cletus, due to his slack jaw. Since that's not going on anymore I'm leaning toward Sriracha.
I love how he goes from looking cute and goofy to acting very predatory when I wiggle my finger in front of the glass, or drop food into the tank. Super cool fish.
