I'm doing it. It has to be done. I've put it off for a while, because I've been scared, but it's just... not avoidable. She's gonna get little beaver teeth. *sigh*.


It's happening tonight. Please wish me luck, as I am very, very nervous. I'm afraid I'm going to cut her lip or something!

Hopefully, I'll be posting back later about what a breeze it was! *gulp* I'm so scared I'm gonna hurt my Charlotte!

You'll be fine...the weirdest bit is seeing the little dude keel over on his side and appear dead...but you'll be amazed how they come back to life as if nothing's happened.

Cool, thanks! I haven't checked it out as I plan to get DPs and from what I have read thus far they don't really require that (right??). But I will definitely have to check that article out.

Okay, I chickened out and it's happeneing today for sure. In a couple of hours, heh.

I'm taking pictures. My roommate has agreed to play cameraman, because he can't wait to see me do this *rolls eyes*.

He got home last night, "Did Sarah sharpen her puffer yet?" *groan* They keep making jokes about me filing my puffer's teeth to a point to give her fangs. *sigh*. I get no sympathy in this place, living with guys.

Yeah, so be on the lookout for pics. Anytime now.

But if I screw up and nip her lip, this thing is NOT ending up on the internet.

Okay, I did it. I DID IT.

I am now officially a member of the I've Trimmed My Puffer's Teeth Club. *acts all superior*

I did not videotape it... I should have. I was too wrapped up in my nervousness, that I pretty much forgot.

Other than the extreme trippiness of holding one of those weird little fish ouit of the water, it wasn't so bad.

I did take a picture of her unconscious, though. And then pics of her coming back to life - I did get a video of that, actually, including over dramatic commentary, lol.

But here she is, in pictures, anyway.

Awesome pictures!! It's crazy how her color changed. She is gorgeous though! And congrats on getting it done.

Yup! She is (or he... I don't like to think that Charlotte may actually be male, but there is no way to find out, so... I had an ex roommate call her Charles all the time. I hated that)

I am seriously regretting not videotaping the actual process. Although, I doubtless looked like a really clumsy fool, I had trouble holding on to her and I was nervous like you wouldn't believe, lol.

Well, IT is an awesome looking puffer! I'll have to look into those if I ever venture into setting up a SW tank (which my fiance would like to do eventually anyway). We are going to be setting up a FW tank and getting some DPs sometime in the next couple months, so maybe I can make him fall in love with them so that if he sets up a SW tank I can convince him to make it a SW Puffer tank!
