So, I went to do a major water change on my tank tonight. Yes, at night, because I work during the day and I have been doing double shifts for almost 3 weeks...anywho...

I went out and bought 25 gallons of SW premixed from LFS because I haven't had time to do my own, yet, I needed a water change done. Well, I don't know what I was thinking, maybe I just wasn't but I emptied too much water out of my tank, now I need about 10 more gallons, and my salinity is lower than normal, about 1.018. It's 8:40 at night, the water isn't high enough for the protein skimmer, and I don't have any mixed, and I can't add any FW because the salinity is so low. What do I do now???

I am sorry, it wasn't planned very well, but I know it needed to be done. I just over estimated how little 25 gallons was = /

You can go a night without the skimmer. Do you have powerheads in there? Just place them lower for now.

might be worth putting a small mark on your tank just to indicate your water change level , so it doesn't happen again in the future....

I picked up a di system off ebay that connects to my sink for $60 and free shipping. It took my 450 ppm well water down to 0ppm. It's nice to be able to take care of it from home.
