Anemone Stings

Anyone ever been stung by an anemone? I have a mid size Haddon's Carpet anemone and I got hammered while I was moving a coral tonight. Ideas for relief? I'll tell what I did after a few people pipe up.
Oh, the people that know how I treated it, let's see if anyone else gets it and why it worked.

I'd say you're just gonna have to ride it out. Symptoms?

rinsing with vinegar will disable any unfired sting cells.

Ok, this is the holiday season and not many people are around.....I had to pee on my right hand, you know, the hand you have to usually hold Mr. Winkie with. Then I wrapped a poultice of Adolf's Meat Tenderizer on it.
Holy crap did that work! The Winning combo came from a non member that grew up in the Philippians named Christopher Sheldon and another rarely sighted entity on this forum: recombinantrider. I really miss her and see her occasionally, we are going to go Ski in Utah next year and possibly here this year!
Anyway this combo won, the hand felt much better!

Been badly burned by a hellfire anemone once. I think I have pictures somewhere, but cannot find them at the moment.
I did not use a treatment, it almost completely vanished after about 3 days. Stronger pain only lasted for about 3 hours.

PS: I've also told people to pee on coral and anemone stings... I didn't know if it would work, but thought it would be funny.

Didn't work on my box jellyfish sting. Next time I'll try the tenderizer. Or better yet, I won't stop to take pictures of them!

I've been stung many times by anemones but they were the ones that you don't feel

They'd grab your fingers and try to eat you.

I had heard the meat tenderizer bit for jellyfish stings, but not the pairing with urine.

It's the ammonia in urine that kills the unfired stinging cells, but vinegar is supposed to work better. I got lit up by my sister's tube anemone in her tank when I was a teenager; learned my lesson and to this day won't put my hands anywhere near an anemone.

peeing doesnt work on jellyfish stings.
http://abcnews.go.com/Health/story?id=2283933&page=1 i also read on a different site that urine can make it worse.
speaking of jellyfish, id love to swim with those nonstinging ones.
