my mom and dad are complaining that dwarf puffs are to small for a 29g so can i keep Carinotetraodon lorteti with kuli loaches and if not what bigger (then DPs) FW puffs could i go for

Umm I think that mixing species is a BAD idea. You might want to look for larger semiaggresive fish.

no i dont have DPs i do however have um wait how many kulis are still alive

um 5 i think.....

most puffers will probarbly consider kuhlis as wriggly live food worms

A South American Puffer.
But Kuhli loaches might be too tempting for them.

one died already >_> the others look healthy maybe ill go with a big puffer once I'm older and have a job right now mom and dad pay for stuff if i don't have money

Sorry to hear that. What were the water parameters? How did you cycle the tank?

o the water is perfect with PH of 6.5 or so its been cycled over 2 years now
PS i think he was just not going to make it before i got him i wasn't able to see the puffs when i bought them they were hiding from the net

How much ammonia, nitrite and nitrate? How was it cycled for 2 years?

PH of 6.5 sounds quite low. What's your tapwater's pH? How long did you acclimate the fish to your tank?

accumulated 30 minutes 6.5 is low??? 7 is normal its been a angel fish tank for a while
perfect water in my opinion is 0 0 and 10-20
PH of tap is 7.0 but i top off with deionized and sometimes use that for the water changes
and now the people over at dwarf puff site think i might have IP in some of them how do i treat that

never mind all is good they are all chubby after feeding today when all of em got some morsels but one who didn't see the food
