i hate fake plants but after a awhile my live plants start to look crappy so i wanted to use the nutrafin plant grow and was wondering if it will be safe for my suvattii, it says safe for fish but who knows...does anyone have any thaughts or personal experience?

If made for aquarium plants, it should be fine but some fertilizers can cause algae growth.

its funny you say that...as of today i got a sudden outbreak of green algae on the back wall of my tank and idk what is causing it...thats another reason i havent added the plant grow yet

A healthy planted tank with the right balance of ferts will usually be able to combat algae. A lot of times, algae is caused by light and micro/macro nutrients, but not enough carbon. Supplementing carbon often curtails algae.

Do note that LilGreenPuffer's comments above refer to plant-available carbon - such as dissolved CO2 gas or Seachem's Excel - not GAC or other absorbtive carbons.

Basically, light plus balanced nutrients (including plant-available carbon) give plant growth.

Light plus unbalanced nutrients or lacking plant-available carbon or any other essential nutrient will give algae growth.

Nutrafin Plant Gro is only Micros. You'd still need macros and carbon.
