hello everyone im new to this forum. ive been out of the hobby for a couple of years but looking to get back into it. im looking to buy a pignose/arrowhead puffer in the 2-4inch range. i live on honolulu hawaii havent had any luck at my LFS. if anyone is a breeder or knows one id greatly appreciate the help.

I grew up on the Big Island, my sister and her family live on Oahu in Mililani. I'm certain she will not be able to help you with an arrow head puffer though :/

It seems shipping fish & other animals not endemic to that area is illegal.

i just got 3 tiger dats from aquabid with no prob

just found out the guy i bought the dats from lives in hawaii lol any way i can get my hands on a pig nose? if not will a fahaka burrow like a pig? and i live in wahiawa right next too mililani

Probably too much of a long shot, but do you know my nephew, Ian Perreira? Lol, I always think it's hilarious when someone asks me if I know one random person out of at least tens of thousands, so I'm doing it this time.
It's been a bit since I've been there, but I had never seen or heard of that type of puffer being available anywhere on the Islands.

Idk knoe your nephew but i know some perreiras in mililani. And someone is selling a fahaka, idk if i wanna go for it however i want a puffer with unique traits and behavoir

can anyone point me in the direction of a list of fish illegal to be sent to Hawaii?

As far as recommending a puffer to you we need to know what sort of setup you have available for it first.

ok thats why i want to go for a pig nose, it looks like the whole Tetraodontidae family can be shipped here but i believe the pignose is tetraodon? so looks like ill have to call hawaii ag tomorrow
