Hi all,

Just a quick Q.

Mushroom has a lovely new 4ft tank now, but at the moment it's got three mollies in it so I can do the salinity change etc (I've used a fully cycled fw filter off another tank so need to up the salinity slowly) Problem is, the mollies appear to have come home with velvet
Does anyone know if the salinity change alone will kill the velvet or if I'll need to medicate?

At the moment, 22. But it needs to be lower for Mushroom. I was going to let it fall naturally the day I put him in.

I would not put him into a diseased tank. Remove the mollies & leave that tank fallow for 8 weeks. You can feed it fish food to keep it cycled.
