Critters in my tank!

I am new to owning puffers. I have had a GSP for about 6 weeks and he is great! Just today I noticed some "critters" running around his tank.
I attached a pic of them...they look like tiny little bugs.
Anyone know what they are? Will they hurt my puffer? And how do I get rid of them?

Is that thing moving? Looks almost like sand-covered poop.
Is this FW/BW/SW?
