Hey just wondered what prices people were paying for a fahaka , or what they've seen them priced at in their LFS . I paid £15 for Lilly about 4 months ago , which I think was a bit of a bargain , Kinda got lucky as the LFS store owner didn't know what she was as she was showing her juvenile cryptic colourings ....although I recognised instantly that she was a tetraodon lineatus and enquired to how much he wanted for her , and quickly snapped her up !!
On the weekend just gone I was browsing around another fish shop and they had a nice young fahaka for sale . I had to do a double take when I saw the price ...they were asking for £150 !!! ....seems bit excessive ....i mean thats 10 times what i paid !! .....I've seen them on the net from anywhere from £10 to £60 , but never as expensive as that before ! Had to take pic of the price tag ...thought no one will ever believe me otherwise ! lol

£13 or so I think for a Fahaka over here. Whilst I wouldn't mind paying £150 for a Fahaka, persé, it better have amazing colouring and patterns that are exactly to my liking.

Here in Washington State I paid $59.00 July 2011.

12 years ago I paid $20 for a 1" fahaka filled with IPs. Fin & bone.

They go for around $25 here.

I seen them from $40-$70 in Washington state. I'm waiting for the spring season to get one
You can get a cheaper fahaka online! (shipping cost a lot though)

about 2 years ago I paid 50 shipped for one that was like PP's, full of IPs and on this death bed

I paid $50canadian to have one shipped by sea plane.

I found one priced at $55 canadian. I talked them down to $40. Was/still is a very healthy specimen.

I paid $8 SingDollar for a 4in Fahaka 1yr ago. Guess I am lucky eh.. Have seen 6-7in selling in another shop at $50 SingDollar recently though..

My Mbu is the most costly investment I have made though. $160 SingDollar for a 4-5in size.
