Mbu issues
My mbu puffer of two yrs has a small spot on the left side of his face. Looks like a burn or bite not sure. Tank mates are an endi bichir and sting ray plus a gourami. Tank is kept at 82 degrees 150 gal did water test and there are no traces of a ammonia, nitrites. I am treating with pima fix and plan too do water changes every 3-4 days to aide in healing. The puffer did not eat tonite and that is when I made the discovery of the injury. For a week or so the puffer has been hiding his head in the under growth. He came out to check out the tiger shrimp i feed him normally from a skewer. But did not attack them at all. Please help any good advice is welcome thax.

I'd add Melafix, too. What is the nitrate? It is possably a heater burn of a bite from the stingray.

Your tank sounds way overstocked. What are your future upgrade plans for these fish?

the tank is filtered by a good sized sump and a 400 emperor bio-wheel, there is 2 heaters hanging off the back mid-water on either side of the tank, as far as the tank being overstocked the gourami is roughly 6in. across, the ray has about a 4-5in. disc. (small ray), the puffer is 10-12in., this 150g. is just a grow-out from my indoor pond 4ft. wide x 7ft.long x 24in. tall, water changes are done every two weeks, filter media are bio-balls, chemi-pure, filter floss, the sump is also full of snails,etc....

what do you guys suggest.
