I have a Nile puffer and its about five inches tip to tail. The place I got him from sold me some crawfish that are.about the same size as him. The crawfish walked up and tipped my puffer over and poked him in the face. Idk if he's not hungry or its too big for him. I feed him snails mostly. There were crawfish in his tank when I bought him. I have his pinchers banded for now but it seems like my puffer should be able to handle it. Idk I like my fish I just want him happy. Any input would be awesome.

one that is as big as your puffer is to big. Kill it and give your puffer just the tail

I would take the bands off for sure...wouldn't want your guy to eat them! Get him smaller crays.

I use to break the claws on my crays before giving them to my old puff fata$$ (RIP) He may be intimidated by them though? Ive never seen that happen! Mine always went ape*^&% on no matter the size cray! LoL ... Heres a vid ... He was 12's long at the time.
