My tank is all setup! I'm just waiting for the sand to settle before i take pictures. I do have a question though. Never having a canister filter before, how do i know if it's working? I have a spraybar attached to the output and i can't tell if there's any water coming out. Should i remove the spraybar?

That's awesome. They're really good looking puffers!
I'm so ready for my tank to clear and cycle! The friend i bought this tank setup from also gave me a really nice piece of dead coral that his ex gave him. It's pretty nice sized.. A little bigger than a softball.

Here are some pics of the almost finished tank. As you can see it's still VERY cloudy and is lacking a large amount of rock and driftwood that i have soaking. I think i finally found a good position for the spray bar to give a nice flow in the tank but have some dead spots in the corners for Smudge to sleep in. Lemme know what you think so far.

As for the cloudiness, should i continue to wait or do waterchanges to help it all go away?

Looks like an awesome start!!! I can't wait until you get everything else in there! As far as the cloudiness goes, it's either from your sand and debris still settling, or it's begun to cycle and it's your bacteria bloom, or, it could be both LoL. It should clear up with time =)
Also, that blue spotted puffer comes as a pair....do they always come in pairs? Is there a reason for that? I was just curious haha

As far as i know, liveaquaria has a "divers den" section where they sell fish they've caught in the wild..what you see is what you get. I guess those 2 puffers were just a mated pair, possibly, and they want to sell them together. They usually have really nice stuff in the divers den part.
As for the tank, thanks! I think the dust is from the sand since it's REALLY fine play sand. I may just have to do a few water changes to get it down to a reasonable level. On another note my canister filter is working so well. It's absolutely silent! (Rena xP1)

Another quick question about this tank.. How much surface movement should i have? I feel like i know nothing now since i have a canister filter instead of a HOB. lol

You can always get a powerhead for more current in the tank.

Really? I guess i've just thought of standard tanks as "long" ones then. haha.
Thanks! I plan on getting the driftwood in tomorrow morning or later on tonight. It's still barely leaching.
