Feeding?

Does anyone else feed small fish every other day? I was thinking of dropping feeding of tetras, rasporas and the like fro 6 days per week to every other day. Is this acceptable? Should I perhaps halve each type into separate tanks and try for scientific reasons? We could compare energy levels etc. Or is feeding 6 days per week essential? I don't mind paying for food just I only feed high quality food . So how many feeds per week are essential for optimum health? Lots of questions I know, but in all my years of fishkeeping I have not had someone reliable enough to ask. Thanks in advance

I would feed small active fish every day. I'm sure they can get fed less often without harm, but I figure they need it to upkeep their constant swimming, and they are so tiny.

Yea I thought so lol. Just curious as they only get good food, no flakes. They get peas, bloodworms, tubifex, mysis shrimp etc. There is always a frenzy when the food goes in , it's like they don't get fed lmao

I agree--smaller, active fish have a high metabolism.
