I've been looking for a good article on breeding mandarinfish. Does anyone know of one? Do you know at what age mandarinfishes matures?

I have been looking into this also. If you can get to live together the spawning isn't too difficult. It is catching the eggs and rearing the fry that pose the problems.

There is one guy here that is selling tank raised mandarins that have been weened off "pods" and they are a tad expensive (double regular retail).

Thanks, both of you. I actually have a tank raised mandarin, so it eats frozen food. It's only half a year old, so breeding is years away. But I still want to know about it. I just find it interesting. BTW, my new little mandarin boy will soon share his tank with a tank bred pretty little mandarin girl!
