Since the passing of his bestie Vettel my little DP Button has been very forlorn. I decided to treat him and make his tank as fancy and nice to live in as i could. So new plants were ordered and added to the tank today.

Who's the happiest puffer? This guy is!
This is his newly redecorated tank.
There was a little bit of die-off during shipping so the two twisted vals behind the urn are shorter than they should be. I'm hoping everything grows nice and tall in the back and along the side. I have a few tall growing plants in there but obviously they're just little right now. Also got some floating plants which will grow and spread out a bit. behind that nice bit of java fern, in the right hand corner there are 3 plants hidden from view which will grow tall.

He couldn't contain his joy and zipped around investigating everything. He even colored up way more than normal.

Thanks. He was still happily buzzing round this morning looking at every inch of the plants and the gravel and his tank.

I think once the plants get more established and grow a bit it'll look less empty. The ludwigia in the left hand corner has gone a lovely pink/purple colour, i hope this was supposed to happen and that it stays that way. Looks very smart.

Thank you both. I'm really happy with the tank, plus there's already been some growth, my clipping of hygrophilia is blossoming, that thing could end up huge. The ludwigia is also coming alive with new growth. Can't wait to track the progress of the tank and see where it is in a few months.

Thank you. Yup, i was worried about him for a while there but he's loving his new digs. I'm still planning on getting him some shrimp-y pals (or shrimp-y treats) but my lfs hasn't gotten them in yet.
