Hello everyone, I have had my porcupine puffer for around 6 months. He ate very well for 5 months. For the last month he has had a problem with eating. His appetite seems there, but he can't eat anymore. His teeth are fine. He tries to eat , but is only able to bump the food, he is not blind, his mouth looks normal, but doesn't seem able to open it. I did have an ich outbreak> the tank( a 265 fish only) has been lowered to a salinity of 1.009 for almost 2 full weeks now. The eating problem started before the ich outbreak. No signs of ich for a week now, but will leave at 1.009 for 3 more weeks. All fish seem fine. Porcupine is a picky eater, almost only krill. Feed other fish wide variety of greens and meats(clams, mussels, squid) but porcupine would only eat the krill.Hate to watch this fish die a slow death( seems to have normal swimming behavior still),any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Have read they need deworming, but I don't know anything about that. :|

Can he open his mouth? there is a problem w/feeding these puffers only krill. It causes an iodine deficiency & results in lockjaw.
