Do all types of clown fish hide/live in anemones?

You will probally have to go with a wild caught Clown, Ive herd the tank bred have lost the need for hosting !

Do you have any reference for tank bred clowns losing the need for anemones?

Frankly, I do not believe it.

That link was interesting. I love reading that sort of thing, i didnt realise there were that many types of clown.

Also on other inverts and artificial anemones made from cut plastic bags.

Mine are hosted bt a large finger leather.

RTR, I have also read that there is a good chance tank-bread clowns are more difficult to get hosted by a nem.

It may depend on how the tank bred fry were handled. If they were bred without having nems to settle out on, they may not had developed the immune responses to deal with the live critters. Do rememeber that in the wild, there are no clowns without nems., period. Their lifespan is minutes without a nem. Fry settle out of the plankton onto an anemone.

I have had wild-caught clowns have to slowly adapt to anemones - either because it was not their wild host type or perhaps they had been without an invert host too long. The few fry I was able to rear had bubble-tips (smallish ones without adult fish present) to settle out on and used them. Keeping food appropriate to the fry was the biggest hassle. Culturing marine algae and rotifers was a massive pita, even with borrowed lab equipment..
