I just noticed my gsp has a little bit of white spots on one of his side fins (the right one). How do I figure out what this is? Not sure if its nothing to worry about or if it is ich or what!?

Ich will look like grains of salt, the fish will flash, rub themselves on things, heavy breathing. If he has ich, follow this:

1) Nitrate 0, Nitrite 0, Ammonia 0, PH 7.6 or higher

2) 75 gallon, freshwater still, and only one Gsp in it

3) He eats every other day diet so far includes brine shrimp, fresh shrimp, ghost shrimp, and mystery snails. 2 days ago I added tetras safe start to get my tank cycling faster. and i have done 50% water changes 4 days in a row prior to the tetras safestart.

4) Changed lighting got a LED lighting system

5)The tank has been running with the puffer in there for about 21 days.

He is not rubbing on anything, his belly is pure white, not sure what flash means, and no signs of heavy breathing.

Does he have sand in his tank?

Flashing = rubbing themselves on decor, like he's itching. I'd keep an eye on this but it won't hurt to follow the instructions in that link 7 gave you. Does it look like raised pieces of salt?

Yes he there is sand in tank

Sometimes sand gets stuck to their bodies, it's one possibility.

If he has Ich you will know for sure know tomorrow or the next day. I hope the little guy is ok!
