I saw this in my local craigslist listings, it really made me laugh, I wanted to share it.
http://greenville.craigslist.org/atq/2577308361.html
"rare old bambo aquarium really good condition i know that its easily 55+ gallons comes with everything that i have for it the 50 pounds of rock, air blower, some weird jet thingy, and old coliseums/arenas. i need the extra money so i have no choice but to sell it. will take no less then 1000 there is a tiny bit of wear from mositure inside the tank at the top but nothing that interfers with anything. its very little damage but with something thats older then 30 years something small is normal"

I'm pretty sure they are taking about a powerhead, it's only thing I can think of. I keep cracking up and saying, "Some weird jet thingy" in the local accent, the best I can replicate.
And, 1000 dollars?!

yeah i had a post i typed but its not here. sometimes our internet acts up at work because of restrictions on data being sent from sites. but i basically typed:
"$1000 for that??? a 55 gallon with moisture damage? lolololol. if you refer to a powerhead as "some weird jet thingy" then you shouldnt be gauging how much a tank should sell for

Yeah, you can't rightly ask for a thousands dollars if you refer to one of the components as a thingy.
It's only potential is some tacky theme really lol. It's an underwater luau just waiting to happen. Plastic fake leis and all.

I while back I saw one of those on craigslist too. I posted up on here about it and actually wanted to buy it. The one here didn't have water damage and they only wanted $100 for it............

I think 100 dollars is a very reasonable price! It's neat in it's own 1980's eccentricity over practicality, tacky sort of way.

This was probably so cheap because it didn't have some weird jet thingy.
