Need Advice Please!!

So...I walked into my house today and saw a plastic bag on the floor. It was a plastic bag with my Jungle Fizz tabs Parasite clear in them. My 6 month old puppy got into a child proof cabinet (cabinet is consequently not in good shape ><) and he chewed on them. Now, I have been handling these things with care....they say that they do indeed cause cancer and many places in CA except for Walmart, is not carrying them anymore. He didn't eat them all, just chewed up on them, but as the bag is leaking dust, I am going to assume he got a fair amount into his system now. Any suggestions? Will this make him super sick? Should I get him to the vet asap?

Well they couldn't help, so they gave me the pet poision hotline. $35 just to speak with someone. >< Oh well, they said it shouldn't be too much of a problem, but they are doing some research to make sure. /facepalm. [Insert nasty, filthy word here] DOG!!!!

He was super good until I started going to school. Now he's at home 2-3 hours a day and he's into EVERYTHING. And he can get out of a locked crate! Not only that, our neighbors complain if we put him in the crate and leave for any amount of time. He has a mini meltdown. I don't get it, everything was fine until school started ><

Meh, and it turns out, all the active ingredients are what they use to deworm dogs in the first place. Not even 7 tabs were enough of a cause for concern. What an expensive phone call for my peace of mind LOL

At least ya'll know now ;) LOL

Next step...gotta go replace them there cabnets. LOL :silly:

/facepalm

I forgot that those medications are sold as pig dewormers and such. This is most fortunate, I know you're mad, but I'm sure you're really relieved!

LoL I think he liked the fizzies in his mouth LOL...he's a weirdo and that's the only thing I could think of hahaha

And I didn't know how to quote so I copied and pasted:

This is true. Although we get by and don't have to pay for very much (we have their wellness plan). We see a Dr. Rosen at a Banfield in a Petsmart. Now, I don't like Petsmart all that much, but I do like Dr. Rosen. He's an awesome vet and knows what he is talking about, and if he's at a Banfield, that's where my pets will go.

LoL mad more out of worry than anything else. No one told me getting two dogs would mean I am at the vet clinic every week (LoL they are my babies though) = / I just get very worried, and act out in anger trying to hide how worried I am. Problem is, I didn't have the package to check the ingredients, or I wouldn't have freaked out as bad as I did. A guy at Petco gave them to me because places in CA (except Walmart and I didn't know they had them until last week) aren't allowed to carry them anymore. I used to work at a vet clinic, and we used praziquantel and metronidazole all the time in dogs. Oh well. Lesson learned. They went in the garbage and the garbage went out and the Prazipro came in today LOL =D

And thank you everyone! I am glad he's ok, but Seven nailed it, he's a doof!

LoL +1!!! Beagles especially, so you can say that Taz is learning from the best = / oh no, he can't eat the tons of chewies that I just spent a good portion of my paycheck on. Oh no no no no no! He has to go for EVERYTHING else that he is not allowed to have! I'm just glad that it was the fish stuff and not the bathroom cleaning stuff. Now I'm going to have to figure out what to do with these cabinets now that I know he can open them with the child locks on them...
