We just finished upgrading my tank allowing us more room for a new fishy. I am looking to getting my dad a blue spotted puffer. The information on the internet varies from site to site.
What is the puffers max size? The reason why I am mainly concern about size is that if the puffer max size is less than 5'' than he will be free game for the lionfish. I also, know that some puffers can reach well over 2', which is way to big for my tank.
What size of tank is required?

My tank is home to a russell lionfish, zebra eel and foxface. I do have some CUC such as sea urchins and cucumbers. I know that it will be free game for the sea urchins, but will the blue spotted puffer also try to eat my sea cucumber?

I believe Pufferpunk has a blue spotted puffer, she could say on the actual max size. I believe it's 4-5".
Depending on the personality of the individual puffer, the cucumber may be fine, or may be nom nom nom.

I have to strongly advise against any puffer species going in with a lionfish. Puffers are too curious and fearless, it doesn't end well. That's really great that you asked this question so you could avoid the little puffer getting hurt!

There is a thread open right now on a case of a puffer getting stung by a lionfish, it's pretty sad. But, it's easy to avoid thankfully.

Please do not put a puffer with your lionfish! It WILL get stung:

we have seen to many people come here asking what a spot is on their puffer and it turns out to be a lion fish sting and its usually deadly

also those urchins might be nom nom nom. mmmmmm tasty. What they don't seem to like is sea slugs. the eel might also be in danger as the puffer might nom nom nom its eyes.
