Hi Today I did a water change because I finished with a IP treatment. I noticed one of the GSP fish's side twirly fin isnt twirling like normal. I'm wondering if he got hurt during the water change. There is another GSP in the tank but I didnt notice them fighting. I moved him to see if I could get him to move ahead and he did and the fin works. When I went to feed them he ate normal but not swimming so hot. Question is if he injured his fin do they heal themselves eventually or would he be doomed. Has anyone had fish with injured fins, and did they heal? Is there anything medicine wise I can do to help him if it doesnt get better? Thanks, hopefully there are some fish mind readers out there. :(

They will eventually heal under the correct conditions.

I'd just keep that water in pristine quality and add some vitamin water to the foods. Kent Marine Zoe is a nice choice. A healthy diet and good water quality will help boost their immune system and healing ability.

They sometimes also favor a fin and tuck the other one to their side. I've seen my GSP "tuck" a fin in and hover, not really swim around but hover. Kind of funny actually. :D

That's even funnier! He's acting normal today. Just must have asking for attention.
